析《左传》经典名言翻译——从文本交际功能角度

彼得·纽马克针对翻译的对等原则提出了自己的见解，将翻译分为语义翻译和交际翻译。《左传》作为中国儒家经典作品，以简练的文辞和深刻的寓意著称，并且流传下来众多脍炙人口的名言警句。李玉良先生在其《（左传）名言》一书中，对很多经典名言进行了英译，在中华文化在世界范围内传播做出了贡献。笔者在通读其译文的过程中，发现一些值得商榷之处，特在文中予以讨论，并且将交际翻译的概念引入，希望能给名著名言翻译带来一些新的见解。

A General Analysis of the Translation of the Famous Sayings of Tso Chuan from the Perspective of Communicative Function

Peter Newmark brought up his own opinions on the equivalence of translation, which he later divided into communicative translation and semantic translation. Tso Chuan, as the representative classic of Confucianism, is noted for its concise lexis and significant meanings and has handed down quite a lot of famous sayings. Li Yuliang translated some of the famous sayings from Tso Chuan into his Aphorisms from Zuozhuan, which in some degree contributes to the wide spreading of Chinese Famous Sayings all over the world. After intensively reading through his book, the author found some mistakes which might be improved by employing communicative translation concept and believed to bring some new ideas to the translation of Chinese Famous Sayings.
