English Pronunciation Learning Strategy Research and Its Implications for TEFL

As a vehicle of spoken English, pronunciation exerts a direct influence on communicative activities. At present, learning strategies in EFL pronunciation learning is under-research. With an introduction of definition and classification, this paper has made a review of EFL pronunciation learning strategies both at home and abroad, and discussed its enlightenment to EFL teaching - enhancing explicit EFL pronunciation and pronunciation learning strategy instruction, and stressing the concern for learners＇ affectional and meta-cognitive strategies in the critical period, may pave a new path to the solution of pronunciation teaching problems in rural area.
