南宋太湖流域市镇的社区结构与社会生活--宋代太湖流域市镇研究之四

南宋时期,太湖流域的镇级中心地和规模较大的草市,在空间规模上大多达到或超过了县级城市,并呈现出类似州县城市的社区结构和街区布局特点。在社会管理方面,也逐步形成了有别于一般乡村的行政、税收、治安、户籍、役法等制度。同时,市镇的文化教育日趋发达,社会生活丰富多彩,重商逐利、追求富裕的观念颇为流行,竞奢好侈、尚慕虚荣的风气相当普遍。

In the Song Dynasty,centres of towns and market towns of larger size in the Tai Lake valley reached or surpassed county cities and showed similar distribution features of the community structure and blocks of county and prefecture cities.In social administration,there gradually formed systems different from those of common rural areas order,census register,military service law,etc.In the meantime,the culture and education of market towns became more and more developed;the social life was rich and colorful;ideas of valuing trade and seeking wealth prevailed,luxurious and vain practice was quite common.
