高校要实现人才培养的神圣使命 ,必须明确“五个成为”的培养目标 ,坚定大学生的“四信” ,重视培养大学生的创新精神和实践能力 ,建立高素质的教师队伍 ;高校要根据当代青年的认识特点 ,探索青年学生理想信念教育的新对策 ,加强马克思主义理论教育和社会实践活动 ;“三个代表”对党的自身建设提出了基本的要求 ,它是我们端正党风 ,从事廉政建设的思想武器 ;允许非国有经济从业者入党可以扩大党的阶级基础和群众基础 ,有利于社会主义事业发展 ,在发展非国有经济从业者入党过程中要坚持标准 ,保证质量。

To accomplish the sacred mission of training talented people, institu tions of higher learning must have the definite training target of "five become' s", fortify university students' conviction of "four xin's", attach importance t o developing innovative spirit and practical ability in them and produce a conti ngent of high-caliber teachers. In light of young people's cognitive features, they should also make exploratory efforts to educate young students in terms of ideal and belief, enhance the study of Marxist theory and social practice. The "Three Represent's" make the basic requirements for the Party's self-improveme nt, which serve as an ideologial weapon in developing the Party's working style and the building of a clean government. The admission of the employees in the n on-public sectors to the Party, expands its class foundation and its popular su pport, which is to the advantage of the development of the social cause. In thi s connection, adherence to the criterion is an important guarantee for admitting qualified members to the Party.
