| 摘 要： | 中国古代帝王颁赐典籍给王公贵族，以泯灭其政治野心；组织前朝遗老编修史书，缓和社会矛盾；篡改图书内容，为自己执政寻求合法性；伪造书籍，以诬陷和打击政敌。这些手段不仅发生在宫廷内斗中，也在本土与外来宗教的纷争中加以利用。图书的政治功能及其实现手段多种多样，因时代和文化差异而不同。政治功能并非图书的主要功能，切不可夸大，更不能滥用。

| Abstract: | Books serve polities in many ways. For example, a few Chinese emperors sent classical books to ambitious noblemen to turn their attention away from polities; invited the scholars of the previous age to compile histories to ease their anger at the new dynasty; misrepresented the existing works to justify their position and power; or faked new books to spread slander on their potential competitors. These methods were not only used in feudal court struggles, but also between rival religions. The political functions of books vary with the time and culture. Politics is not the major function of books. Hence the political functions should neither be exaggerated nor excessively used. |
