The Exploration of the Reasons for Jane Eyre's Marriage

The paper attempts to make a moderate research into Jane Eyre by Charlotte. It mainly explores the reasons for Jane＇s marriage. In Jane Eyre, Jane was of humble origin and experienced bitterness in her life, while Rochester was a wealthy man who was the owner of a large manor. However,in their society where social classes are very important for a person,the two finally married each other.In the author＇s opinion, there are four main reasons for Jane＇s marriage： true love,Jane＇s goodness,independence and equality. In the end of the paper, the author comes to the conclusion that in order to gain happy marriage in modem society, women should pay more attention to the true love and women＇s independence,rather than material substances.
