A Counseling Liaison Model of Academic Advising

This article describes an alternative method of academic advising, as opposed to the traditional faculty‐student model. The objective of the counseling liaison model is to increase the retention and graduation rates of students through linking counseling intervention strategies with developmental academic advising.
