WHAT MAKES TELEVISION THE RIGHT MEDIUM?

The author discusses the problem of defining topics in education and training for which television is particularly suitable and unsuitable. Having discounted certain rationalisations sometimes used by ETV practitioners, he surveys the evidence offered by the writings of a number of authorities on the selection of appropriate media. His conclusions emphasize the value of developing multi‐media material.
