On the Differences of Value Orientation in Interpersonal Relationship Reflected in Japanese Proverbs

Proverbs are the living fossil of culture and ideology.By proverbs one can understand a country＇s local customs and practices,customs,religion,history and other aspects.This paper,with English proverbs as the window,from the perspective of interpersonal relationship,discusses the differences of interpersonal value orientation between Japan and Europe and the United State,in order to enhance mutual understanding and improve intercultural communication ability.
