The Negative Effects of Internet on Ideological and Political Education among College Students and its Corresponding Strategies

Internet is a ＇double-edged sword＇, while it offers huge advantages to the ideological and political education, it also brings many negative effects through its characteristics of virtuality, elusive, openness and uncontrollability. These negative effects have challenged our ideological and political education. The paper argues that the educators should construct red internets, and at the same time, change the traditional ideas on education so as to increase the charming of these red internets. It is vital to monitor the operation of internet, too. Only many educational ways are adopted, can the internet become the spiritual room of contemporary college students.
