| Abstract: | This paper makes a brief introduction of the expressive form of Zeugma and attempts to explore some functions of zeugma from the pragmatic approach with authentic examples.The writer also makes an analysis of how the contextual meanings of zeugma come into effect and how it can be derived based on some pragmatic theories. |
