近代秘密社会与民主革命的关系

近代秘密社会的发生有着思想、文化、宗教和社会生存等多种因素。秘密社会具有社会整合、精神归属、道德教化和健身强体等功能，能在贫穷落后的旧中国吸引众多的群众加入。秘密社会的发展规律是乱盛治衰。秘密社会与民主革命存在着互动的关系。由于斗争形势和某些政治思想观念的大体相似，秘密社会与革命政党存在着短时段的合作关系；又由于双方的本质和终极目标不同，秘密社会与革命政党存在着长时段的对抗关系。在当前越来越趋向多元的社会里，在消除秘密社会的实际影响方面仍要进行长期的艰苦工作。
