| Abstract: | This paper systematically deals with Tenpuhua, or Tenpu Dialect, drawing its phonic system, discussing the dialect? s features in comparison with the other Chinese variations: Mandarin, Anshunese, Chao-hu Dialect of Anhui Province and the dialect in Southern Shaanxi, which are relatively close to Tenpuhua, in terms of basic vocabulary, intonation and pronunciation, and analyzing the functions of the dialect in the Tenpu Community. |
