There is now in the contemporary Western theoretical olds a very fashionable idea that the authorship ceases to play its part in literary activities because the author has ben dead. A typical case of this movement is "the doctrine of author's death" proposed by Rolan Barthes. On the basis of a concrete analysis and deconstruction of Barthes's The Death of the Author, the author of this article concentrates on the refutation of "the doctrine of author's death", and comes to a conclusion that as long as literature exists, the author will not perish of his own.
