摘    要:Lakoff和Johnson隐喻观认为隐喻的本质是源域向目标域的映射,是用我们所熟悉的事物去表达我们所不熟悉的抽象事物,隐喻不仅是一种修辞手段,也是一种思维方式,是我们感知世界,形成概念的重要手段,将隐喻理论运用于英语教学具有重要意义。

Abstract:Lakoff and Johnson think that the essence of metaphor is the mapping from the source domain to the target domain. We often express abstract concept by our familiar things. Metaphor is not only a rhetorical device, but also a way of thinking. It is an important way for us to perceive our world and form the concept. It is great significance to apply metaphor theory in English teaching.
