谈语音教学在听说教学中的作用

随着社会的发展,人们越来越意识到英语听说能力的重要性。于是各高校开始加大了大学英语听说课程的力度,开设了专门的口语听力课。然而,大学生的听说能力并没有大幅度的提高,"哑巴英语"、"聋子英语"依然广泛存在。究其原因,其中最重要的一条是,教师和学生忽视了语音教学在听说教学中的作用。语音教学是听说教学的基础。英语学习者的语音知识直接影响和决定着其听说能力。笔者以教学实践为基础,对语音教学在听说教学中的作用进行了探讨。实践证明,语音教学在改善学生的口语语音面貌、学生的听力理解能力和学生学习积极性等方面有很显著的作用。笔者旨在通过本研究引起英语教师和英语习得者对语音教学的重视。

The Effects of Phonetics Teaching on Listening and Speaking Study

With the development of China,more and more people are becoming aware of the importance of listening and speaking ability of English.Accordingly,many colleges and universities are opening special listening and speaking courses to enhance college students' listening and speaking ability.To our disappointment,the practice has not made a big success.The main reason is that college teachers neglect the effects of phonetics on listening and speaking study.Phonetics teaching plays an important role in listening and speaking study.In this paper,the author tries to lay bare the effects of phonetics teaching on listening and speaking study to arouse attention on it.
