师专英语专业新生英语词汇量调查与英语阅读教学的思考

摘    要:本调查从中学英语词汇表随机等距离抽样100个词目,用试卷测试的方式和翻译法,对梧州师专03级英语大专新生进行英语词汇量测试,测出这些新生入学时阅读词汇量.结果显示:03级英语大专新生英语阅读词汇量偏少,他们对英语单词的认知能力偏低.为此,本文提出英语阅读教学一些新的设想.

Abstract:In this survey, 100 words are sampled in equidistance from the word lists in middle school English textbooks to test the freshmen of English major in Grade 03 on their English vocabularies for reading. The result shows that the English vocabularies of the freshmen are small, their cognitive abilities for English word are weak. Hence, this paper puts forth a new idea for English reading teaching.
