Literature Review Writing of English Thesis for English Majors

In the literature review writing of English thesis exist such problems as the lack of writer＇ s personal viewpoint in the introduction, enumerating data without analysis in the body and the absence of the theme relevance in the conclu- sion. Thus the author of this paper intends to analyse the causes from three aspects of overview, division and explana- tion, critical evaluation of the literature, and explain the conventional writing model of the three parts in the literature review with examples.
