Abstract: | This paper aims at exploring critically the fiction of Nella Larsen and her situation within the complexity in Harlem Renaissance. First, Larsen's novels Quicksand(1928) and Passing(1929), created a piece of art out of her personal experience and offered new directions for Afro-American new models for artists. Her exploration of the contradiction of Afro-American female victimization and sexuality, is perhaps the most significant contribution to the literary development in Harlem Renaissance. |
