Economic Analysis of the Academic Books and Periodicals in University Libraries of the United States

After economic analyzing the academic books and periodicals in the university libraries of the United States, this paper puts forward that to develop economic and social benefit is the permanent topic and the struggling object of the construction and the development of libraries. It also points out the problems existing in the aspects of enhancing the economic benefit, concept of market economy and level of scientific management in the libraries of our country and the striving direction.
