| 摘 要： | 湘西大规模的学校教育始于清代，当地的苗族士人可以享受到一定的倾斜政策。20世纪上半叶，中原地区战乱不休，日本又挑起了全面的侵华战争，政治和教育重心西移，这使湘西地区相对安定，教育继续得到发展。

| Abstract: | The massive school education was introduced into Western Hunan in the Qing Dynasty.Even in that era,the local Miao people could enjoy some special policy for encouragement.In the first half of the 20 th Century,the disturbance in the Central Plain,especially the Japanese overall invading China in late 1930s drove the center of national political and educational center to Western China.This gave the relatively peaceful Miao frontier area in Western Hunan a strong impetus for developing modern education,including ethnic education. |
