| 摘 要： | 大学公共英语课程的教学目标应是学生的英语应用能力,但由于地区经济发展的不平衡,并非所有的学生一毕业就有机会使用外语。经过分析调查结果,笔者认为,教学中还应注意外语的其它用途,如口语交际、知识和能力的储备、人文素质的培养、外语资格证书的取得等。

| Abstract: | The objective of English teaching is language training for use at college. Not all graduates, by choice, can practice their English in some fields at different levels. The other functions of language teaching, such as oral communication, knowledge for future use, improvement of personal quality and qualification, should be brought into play. |
