| Abstract: | Studies of ancient phonology by former celebrities such as Zhang Taiyan, Huang Kan, and Wang Li have born rich fruits and achieved brilliant achievements, vilification of which - -"in no sense can they be classified as belonging to linguistics" - - is not only ignorant but also frivolous and arrogant. |
