万荣笑话浅议

On Wanrong Jokes

Taking root in Loess Plateau, the Beginning of Wanrong Jokes can be traced back to the period of the Ming and Qing Dynasty. It originated from what is known as ＂Xiecunzheng＂ or ＂Arguments of Xie Village＂, which reflects the unbeatable and humorous character of Wanrong people. As Wanrong Jokes are collectively created, they are rich in wisdom, unique in logic and keep up with the times. Therefore, it is not only regarded as the expression of Wanrong people＇s wisdom and spirit but also a folk history of the development of the local society.
