The Narrator and Characters in A Rose for Emily

The chaos after the civil war in southern America caused confusion in people's life,thoughts and values at that time. It is not only reflected in the attitudes of "us",the narrator,to Emily,but also presented in "our" way of telling the story an inverted,unconventional way and in the use of the stream of consciousness. It's a good example of using the first-person plural form as the narrator.
