In the slavery society of Greece and Roman, releasing slaves was a general phenomenon. But the modes of it were different according to different conditions. As a typical slavery society, ancient Greece had its own mode besides the classical modes. They were：testament one;buying-out one;charging one, encouraging one and making use of one. The different modes reflected the different results of hopes, different relations between the mas- ters and the slaves, different customs and different social backgrounds.
