摘    要:长期以来,大学英语教学过分强调语言形式的习得,忽视语言的交际功能,强调准确性,忽视语言运用的得体性,其结果是学生虽然学到不少语言知识,但缺乏对语境的理解,交际效果并不理想,语用能力差。在新的时代背景下,应充分发挥多媒体在英语教学中的辅助作用,从教学观念、教学模式和教学内容着手,全面提高学生的语用能力。

Abstract:The acquisition of language forms and the correctness of language have been overemphasized while the communicative function and the appropriateness of language application have been neglected in a long time. This results in the poor communicative competence because students have a lack of comprehending context, although students get some language knowledge. In this paper, the reasons are analyzed first and a new teaching method is put forward that we can cultivate students' pragmatic competence in English teaching class with the multimedia based on computer-oriented assisted English from three aspects: teaching idea, teaching model and teaching materials.
