论司马文森早期创作

司马文森自一九三六年开始从事创作直至一九六八年被林彪、＂四人帮＂迫害致死,一共写出近三十部作品,包括长、中、短篇小说、散文、报告文学、儿童文学、电影剧本等等。抗战期间他在桂林主编《文艺生活》,不仅影响华南、西南,而且风行海外。笔者就他早期创作进行评述。因为其一,司马文森早期创作大都以闽南社会为背景,较准确地表达了抗战前夕闽南社会现实,表现闽南人民的精神风貌,故事情节与日常生活相联结,对特定地区的地理风光、民俗风情都刻画得纤细入微、亲切动人。其二,司马文森一开始从事创作就具有清醒的现实主义精神,这就为他毕生创作奠定了基调。他早期某些艺术手法在其后创作实践中不断发展、提高,渐臻成熟,从而形成特有的艺术风格。探索司马文森早期作品,对于进一步研究他的创作道路,具有重要意义。

On Sima Wensen's Early Literary Works

From 1936 when Sima Wensen began his literary creation,till 1968 when he was persecuted to death by Lin Biao and the ＂Gang of Four＂,Sima Wensen had written nearly 30 works,which includes full length novels,novelettes,short stories,prose,reportages,children literature and movie scripts etc.During the period of anti-Japanese War he was the chief editor of Literary Life,a magazine which had a wide influence in Southern and Western China,as well as in abroad.This paper provides a commentary only to his early works for two reasons： First,most of his early works take the Southern Fujian Province as social background,rather accurately represent the social reality and people＇s mentality of this area before the anti-Japanese war.The plots of stories are close to the daily life,vividly reflecting the local geographic sceneries and ethnic customs.Second： Sima Wensen had a very clear sense of realism when he began his literary career,which had established the fundamental key for the creation during all his life.Some of his artistic expressions and skills in his early works have been repeatedly used,developed and improved in his later works and formed his special style.Exploring his early works is significant for further research on his road of literature creation.
