零外借率探微

目前零外借率研究中还存在着许多问题,没有实际流通外借的图书,不能视为零外借现象。零外借率计算公式应为:零外借率=某些品种图书从未被读者外借的总册数/实际流通图书的总册数×100%;此公式是在针对某些特定的读者群体和图书的半衰期两个前提而言的;零外借率不能评价采访质量,只是参考指标;它既有利又有弊,不可能消除,只能控制在一定范围。零外借率研究深层次引出了许多文献信息资源建设和制度方面的问题。

Study on the Book Zero Loan Rate

There are many problems existing in the study on the zero circulation rate.The author argues that however,even the circulation statistics is zero;it can not be regarded as zero circulation rate.The zero circulation rate equals to the total number of copies never been loaned/the number of books that actually be circulated.This formula is suitable for special user groups and half life of books.The zero circulation rate is not a criterion to evaluate the acquisition,but just an important index point.With pros and cons,it can not be eliminated,but just be controlled.Study on the zero circulation rate caused many problems on collection development and library management.
