《巴黎圣母院》中通过描写三组二象对立项之间的关系,生动地诠释了美的不可抗拒和至高无上的实质。法比和爱斯梅哈尔达之间的源于本能的对外表美的无功利的爱慕,促成二人荒谬低级的悲剧爱情。加西莫多与爱斯梅哈尔达之间的爱则是丑对美顶礼膜拜,美却拒斥丑。加西莫多用生命与死亡诠释了雨果唯美思想的真谛。克罗德与爱斯梅哈尔达之间的爱,克罗德企图通过对爱斯梅哈尔达的美的占有弥合他人性的缺陷,从而达到真善美的统一和完善。美为克罗德恢复完整人性提供了契机,却又最终因他自身而毁灭。

Aestheticism in "Notre Dame de Paris"

Hugo annotated vividly the irresistibility and supremacy of beauty by depicting relations among three pairs of two-subjects in his ＂Notre Dame de Paris＂.The first one is the love between Fabio and Asmelada,which arose from the exterior beauty of each other＇s and was based on the instinct of the Id and resulted in the tragedy of love.The second one,between Cacimodo and Asmelada,suggested that ugliness adores beauty while beauty rejects ugliness,and also through the death of Cacimodo illustrated the essence of the aestheticism of Hugo.The last one is between Coloud and Asmelada.Coloud tried to possess Asmelada＇s beauty in order to make up for his imperfection of his humanity and achieve his perfection and the unity of truth,good and beauty.However,the beauty provided Coloud with an opportunity to complete integrity of his humanity but was ruined by him.
