| Abstract: | The teaching aim of maritime major in the ocean universities is to ensure the coming mariners’ ability to use English in the international shipping business and their daily communication activities.This paper discuses the relative theories about the teaching of English films and the necessity and feasibility of it.It points out the function and advantages of English films in cultivating the cross-cultural communication ability of maritime students. |
