象似性理论观照下的英语听力教学

摘    要:英语的超音段特征经常表达间接的话语含义,但因其不确定性而较难理解和把握。象似性理论揭示了超音段特征的形式与含义之间的内在联系,可以有效地帮助学习者掌握超音段特征。文章从语调单位、重音位置和语调类型等方面阐述超音段特征的象似性,讨论如何应用象似性理论正确理解歧义句、捕捉说话人的言外之意和准确理解说话人的意图,以提高学习者的听力理解能力和交际能力。

Abstract:Supra-segmental features play an important role in communication, but it is difficult for Chinese learners to understand and use these features. Iconicity theory can offer its help here. This paper discusses iconicity of supra-segmental features from the aspects of tone, tone unit and stress placement, and its application in the teaching of English listening in helping learners to eliminate ambiguity and understand the speaker' s real intention, so as to improve learner's communicative competence
