英汉话语照应的认知语用对比分析

摘    要:话语照应涉及到复杂的认知活动,框图结构、常规关系以及思维模式都参与了此类话语的构建。英汉话语照应在认知上有共通之处,也有不同之处,不同是因为认知环境的差异。认知环境制约了话语照应的生成和阐释,而对话语照应的正确解释可以帮助对话语理解的正确认识,保证交际的成功。因此,若要成功地进行跨文化交际,不同文化背景的人就要努力调整自己的认知环境使之与对方的认知环境趋同。

Abstract:Bridging is the outcome of complex cognitive activities. Its operation involves schemata, stereotypical relations, and thinking modes. Bridging exhibits similarities and differences in English and in Chinese. And the differences lie in different cognitive environments which constrain the generation and interpretation of bridging references. The correct interpretation of them can help people have a correct understanding of the discourse so as to guarantee successful communication. Thus, in order to achieve successful cross-cultural communication, people from different cultural backgrounds have to adjust their cognitive environments.
