| Abstract: | The thesis analyzes the two English versions of Deng Xiaoping's speech during his visit to South China in 1992 from the points of stylistics,and introduces the theory of stylistic equivalence in translation to compare the features of the two English versions.It can also provide us with more advice and references for the future translation work.In fact,translation is an art,which needs the translator to have not only the well-knit knowledge of bilinguals,but abundant information about other subjects.What's more,the translator should have a strict and careful attitude towards his translation,all the above are the precondition of being a qualified translator. |
