试论闽都书院与清代台湾社会文化的发展

闽都书院源远流长,已经成为闽都文化的重要组成部分.闽都书院于明清之际传入台湾并产生深远影响.清代台湾教育的进步与发展,在相当程度上得益于闽都书院渡台山长、教谕的辛勤教学及其提供的教材、典籍.清廷治台213年间,设立的书院有61所之多,遍布岛内各地,大部分深受闽都书院教育宗旨、培养理念和教学方式之影响.清初台湾还是移垦社会,文化与风气较为落后,动乱频繁,只能以武力维持社会安定.台湾能从“武治社会”儒化为“文治社会”,书院教育在其中发挥了巨大作用.
