把高等林业院校办成研究型大学的几点思考

国家高等教育管理体制改革后,高等林业院校的隶属关系发生了变化,但学校追求的目标并没有改变,即办成研究型大学。如何办成研究型大学,学校领导必须做出符合时代潮流的战略抉择。首先要建立与时代发展相适应的办学理念来统揽全局,其次是荟萃一流名师,出一流科学技术成果,勇于改革本科教育教学模式,追求真理,力戒空谈、浮躁恶习,善于参与市场有序竞争,遵循教育科学规律,实现开放式和国际化,坚持有所为有所不为,为国家产业结构调整与技术创新做贡献。

Reflections on Turning Forestry Institutions of Higher Learning into Research-oriented Universities

After the reform of national administration system of higher learning was carried out, the dependency relation of higher learning institutions has been changed. But to be a research-oriented university is the unchangeable target for every forestry institution. First of all, we should develop the idea that keeps up with the times to run a university. Secondly, we should have first-class teaching staff to make top research achievements. We should dare to reform the existing educational model, to seek truth, to get rid of bad habits and to actively take part in the market competition as well. Moreover, we need to follow the scientific nature of education, to quicken our opening up to the outside world. We must persist in doing what we should do and give up what we cannot do, and try our best to make great contributions to industrial restructuring and technology innovation of our country.
