| Abstract: | Similar to verbs, Chinese adjectives can function as predicates, but with their own distinct characteristics. Some adjectives can be used independently as predicates, while others must function under certain conditions. These conditions are closely related to many factors, Such as grammar, semantics and pragmatics. From this aspect, this paper deals with the characteristics and conditions of adjectives' functioning as predicates. |
