| Abstract: | The Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education which possesses the function of the College Entrance Examination at the same time uses a combination of public examinations and school-based assessment. Meanwhile, it strives for the objective and standardization of the assessment approach, emphasizes the formulation of standards at a functional level, and makes great efforts on the science of theories and techniques of educational measurement to the fairness of the examination. Above all, it has a strong reference to the reform of the Chinese mainland college entrance examination. |
