| 摘 要： | 五四时期,北京高师平民教育社通过刊发<平民教育>杂志、约请名流、学者进行专题演讲、编译书籍等活动,不仅形成了系统的,颇具革命色彩的平民教育思想体系,而且在全校范围内掀起了平民教育活动的高潮,已然成为中国宣传平民教育以及整个新教育的一大中心.这些成就的取得,是与该社拥有一支教育专业的骨干力量、经营方式较为灵活,且得到校方的支持分不开的.但是,由于脱离不了教育救国论的藩篱,平民教育社最终走向衰落.
