Collection Management in British Children's Literature-A Report of Five Case Studies |
| |
Abstract: | In order to gain insight into the collection management of children's books by British public library services, five case studies were undertaken in 1989. These studies uncovered a diversity of procedures but no comprehensive provision of collection management policies. Reasons for compromising on the ideal were found to be related to inadequate staffing rather than to a lack of concern. |
