Creating an Electronic Teaching Library

Abstract

Many academic institutions are creating electronic libraries and reorganizing technology units, such as computing centers, libraries, media centers, and telecommunications offices, into central administrative reporting structures. Usually, these are larger institutions. This article is a case study of how a smaller academic institution, Carthage College, merged the library and computing center in a short time to create an electronic teaching library.
