| Abstract: | Nishang Yan is the only existing legendary play written by Xu Zhiheng, a famous Chinese dramatic theorist in modern times. Its dramatic structure, language features, and aesthetic pursuit present intensively Xu Zhiheng＇ understanding towards drama, which also have a great impact on Chinese classical poem and drama research at that time and for latter times. |
