| 摘 要： | 词汇是语言的基本组成部分之一,是语言中最活跃的因素,也是民族文化语言形式折射后的焦点,它能够最大限度、最直接、最敏感、最迅速地反映人类社会生活的文化镜像。本文通过阐述历史发展、地理环境、宗教信仰、政治文化、寓言神话对英语词汇的影响,揭示英语词汇丰富的文化色彩及英语词汇教与学的趣味性、有效性。

On the Cultural Coloring of the English Vocabulary |

| Abstract: | Vocabulary is the most active element of language and the focus reflecting a people's culture and language.From the influence of the historical development,geographical environment,etc.on the English vocabulary,the present paper aims at expounding the rich cultural coloring of the English vocabulary and showing the interest and efficiency of the teaching and learning of it. |
