Abstract:The ancient Chinese subjective imagism focuses on the amalgamation of subjective and image in the discussion of the creation of the subjective image in art and the objective image in esthetics. It is a component of the ancient Chinese literary theory and esthetic theory and, to a certain extent determines the nature, feature, function, value, and significance of both theories. Subjective imagism is important not only in the creation of artistic image, but also in the formation and development of both theories.
