| Abstract: | Polanyi's development model of personal knowledge can be generalized as the enthusiasm of seeking knowledge, the enthusiasm of enlightenment and the enthusiasm of persuasion, and so on. The model is different in approach but equally satisfactory in result with the development model of scientific revolution of Kuhn. Their differentiation lies in the motive force of the development of science and the concept of truth. And the differentiation with the development model of scientific research program of Lakatos mainly rests with the ways settling scientific disputes and the renewal of theories and non-falsification of “hard cores." |
