| 摘 要： | 对英语WH－分裂句来说，仅从语用学的角度断言其信息结构是很困难的，无法确定WH－分裂句都可以新信息＋旧信息这一结构标准来判断。因此对WH－分裂句的进一步探讨需在语篇的层次上展开，从而探明其在语篇中的作用及其语篇功能。对实际语料的研究表明，WH－分裂句有着诸多的语篇功能，主要表现为组篇功能及意图定向功能。

| Abstract: | From the angle of pragmatics, it is difficult to assert that English WH cleft sentences all share the uniformity of the information structure in view of the fact that WH Cleft Sentences do not invariably consist of New Information Old Information. Accordingly, further study of WH Cleft Sentences can be tentatively conducted on the level of discourse. Analysis to the real data illustrates the major discourse functions of WH cleft sentences, including text organizational functions and intention oriented functions. |
