| Abstract: | In the early period of Maijishan Grottoes art,statue of Maitreya Buddha had occupied an important position,some sat in cross-legged,others in meditating Bodhisattva or Maitreya in a Buddha's dress.The three different presentations of Maitreya Buddha embodied different Buddhist idea and belief of the times. |
