中央民族大学藏学学科的历史、现状与前瞻

作为中央民族大学的长线特色专业,自1951年5月首次开设藏语文班到现在,藏学系不仅为国家和藏族地区培养了大批优秀人才,而且还培养了一批在国际藏学界享有盛誉的著名学者。但自20世纪90年代以来,中央民族大学的藏学专业遭遇到了前所未有的挑战:师资队伍的层次和结构有待进一步提高;本科专业的课程设置需进一步论证和改进;硕士研究生的研究方向需进一步明确;本科和研究生的英语、计算机教学需加大力度等。必须建立一套体现藏学学科真正内涵,符合藏学学科现实需求,顺应藏族地区未来发展需求的、成熟的藏学专业主干课程和人才培养体系,力求为中国藏学的繁荣发展做出贡献。

The Past, the Present and the Future of Tibetan Studies of the Central University of Nationalities

The Department of Tibetan Studies of the Central University of Nationalities first started the class of Tibetan Language in May of 1951. As a long-term specialty with characteristics,till now,it has not only trained a large number of excellent talents for the country and the Tibetan-inhabited areas,but also created a lot of famous scholars of high prestige in the international field of Tibetan Studies. However,since the 1990's,the specialty of Tibetan Studies has met unprecedented opportunities and challenges:the level and structure of teaching body need to be further raised and improved;undergraduate courses need to be further verified and improved;research direction of postgraduate students need to be further defined;and more efforts need to be made in the teaching of English and computer for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Hence,we should set up a set of major courses of Tibetan Studies and a system of talents training which not only reflect the real connotation but also meet both the realistic needs of the specialty of Tibetan Studies and the needs for talents in the future development of Tibetan-inhabited regions so as to make contributions to the prosperous development of Tibetan Studies in China.
