The assessment and supervision of officials are important factor to maintain clear and bright in administration of officials. There is no doubt that the administration of officials in ancient China has its own limitation. But some institutional characteristics are still highly valued. Especially, the perfection and systematism of its official merit system and strictness of its supervising system can still provide instructive reference.
