| Abstract: | Human being＇ s lust for puffer fish is one of the most fascinating yet perplexing obsessions in the culinary world. For hundreds or even thousands of years, human beings have fostered a mixed yet peculiar feeling towards puffer fish, coveting its delectable taste yet fearing its acute toxicity. Based on an analysis of this specific literary image of puffer fish, this paper reveals the generation of human desire and its cost and explores the instructive value behind. |
